Pork casserole with shallots and potatoes

Fried boneless pork chops topped with creamy gravy and baked atop sliced new potatoes will please all.

Ingredientes

  • 400 g boneless loin pork chops
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 600 g new potatoes, washed, thinly sliced
  • 200 g shallots, thinly sliced
  • 1 packet dry mix Cream of asparagus soup (Podravka, 55 g)
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • Fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk

Direcciones

1. Trim fat from pork chops. Brown the chops for 4 minutes on each side in a frying pan.
2. While chops are browning, place sliced potatoes in an oblong dish. Place browned chops on top of potatoes. Set aside.
3. In the same pan brown the shallots for 4-5 minutes.
4. Add dry soup mix, pepper, thyme, water and milk. Stir and combine.
5. Pour over chops and potatoes and cover dish (alu foil can be used if you don’t have a covered dish). Bake for 1 hour at 180°C, remove lid and bake uncovered 10 minutes longer.
