Ingredientes

  • 2 pork chops, cut 3/4" thick
  • 1/3 c. regular rice
  • 2 tbsp. minced onion
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/2 c. minced apple
  • 1 tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. sliced apples

Direcciones

  1. Trim fat from chops; cook trimmings in skillet till 2 Tbsp. fat accumulates. Throw away trimmings. Brown chops slowly in drippings. Set chops aside; reserve drippings.
  2. In same skillet cook rice and onions in reserved drippings till rice is golden brown, stirring constantly. Stir in water and bouillon granules. Bring to boil; stir in minced apples. Turn mix into a 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 2" baking dish; arrange chops atop. Bake, covered at 350 degrees for 30 min. Combine butter, sugar and cinnamon. Brush sliced apples with mix; arrange around chops. Bake, uncovered, till apples and pork are tender, about 20 min. Serves 2.
