Pueblo Indian Bread Pudding Capirotado

Ingredientes

  • 8 slc White bread, toasted torn in pcs
  • 1/2 c. Raisins
  • 1 Tbsp. Grnd cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Grnd nutmeg
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. Warm water
  • 4 ounce Shredded natural cheese, cheddar

Direcciones

  1. In bowl, combine toast pcs, raisins and spices; set aside. In heavy skillet, heat and stir sugar over low heat till melted and golden, about 20 min. Remove from heat; carefully stir in warm water. Return to heat to dissolve mix about 5 min. Pour syrup proportionately over toast mix. Toss to moisten. Turn half the mix into lightly greased 1 1/2 qt casserole; sprinkle with cheese. Top with remaining toast mix.
  2. Bake uncovered in 325 oven for 20 min . Serve hot.
  3. Serves 6
