Receta Quick Apple Topped Pancake
I have tried this recipe many ways. Once I made the pancake from scratch and added the apple. But when I am in a hurry, I simply use a pancake mix (usually use Aunt Jemina) and then do the rest of the fun stuff. In the following recipe, Apple Topping is enogh for 6 pancakes
Ingredientes
- Any butter milk pancake mix (I normally use the Whole wheat pancake mix)
- 2 small green apples (Granny Smith) peeled, cored and cut into thin slices
- 1 ½ tablespoons butter
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoons brown sugar
Direcciones
- To make the topping:
- In a skillet melt butter and add apples, cinnamon and sugar
- Reduce heat to medium and stir continuously and cook for about 2 â 3 minutes or until the apples are soft
- Keep aside
- Make pancakes according to package directions (make the batter for about 6 pancakes)
- Add a little bit of butter on a skillet and add a spoonful of batter to the skillet
- Immediately add a couple of apple slices on top of the pancake and cook until nice and brown on bottom
- Flip pancake and cook until nice and brown
