Ingredientes

  • 1 lb Frzn white bread dough, thawed or possibly 1 loaf
  • 1 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Minced fresh basil
  • 1 Tbsp. Minced fresh oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. Minced fresh marjoram
  • 1 Tbsp. Minced fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic pwdr
  • 1/4 c. Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 c. Grated mozzarella, optional

Direcciones

  1. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 15 x 10-inch rectangle.
  2. Transfer to a 15 x 10-inch greased pan. Press dough to fit into corners.
  3. Brush with extra virgin olive oil and let rise till puffy, 30 min to an hour. Make dimples in dough by pressing down with fingertips. Sprinkle dough with herbs, garlic pwdr and cheese. Bake at 375 degrees till golden, about 15 to 20 min. Bread should sound hollow when tapped. Remove to wire rack. Slice and serve hot.
  4. COMMENTS: LornaBrown says she's been doing this for years. She simply pushes thawed dough onto a greased sheet cake pan, lets it rest a few min, then stretches it again to fit the pan. She makes dents with her knuckles and either presses fresh herbs into those dents before spreading 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil over the dough; or possibly spreads the oil first, then sprinkles on dry or possibly granulated herbs of choice. She tops it off with salt and bakes it at 350 degrees till golden brown.**Generally 1 tsp dry herb may be substituted for each tbs (3 tsp) of fresh. Bridgford makes bread dough.
