Ingredientes

  • 2 1/2 c. self rising flour
  • 1/4 c. red food coloring (2-1 ounce bottles)
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Hershey cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 lg. large eggs
  • 1 1/3 sticks butter, softened
  • 10 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 2 c. pecans

Direcciones

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients with electric mixer. Spray three 9 inch round pans with Pam. Bake for 20 min.
  2. Put together butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Beat till fluffy. Mix in 1/2 cup minced nuts. Decorate with the other 1/2 cup nuts. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.(This is Willard Scott's favorite cake. Recipe comes from the Bubble Room Restaurant on Capitiva Island.)
