%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20noticed,%20there%20does%20seem%20to%20be%20a%20theme%20here.%20And%20that%20theme%20is%20GINGER.%20We%20are%20both%20lovers%20of%20ginger,%20but%20Ginny%20is%20the%20more%20enthusiastic%20of%20the%20two.%20Needless%20to%20say,%20we%20may%20have%20used%20more%20ginger%20than%20the%20recipes%20called%20for.%20In%20the%20case%20of%20the%20jam,%20where%20the%20recipe%20calls%20for%20straining%20the%20ginger%20out%20and%20discarding%20it...well....that%E2%80%99s%20just%20wasteful.%20We%20put%20that%20ginger%20and%20some%20of%20the%20rhubarb%20in%20the%20food%20processor%20and%20put%20the%20resulting%20paste%20right%20back%20into%20the%20jam.%20Mmmm%20hmmmm.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlso.%20Both%20recipes%20recommend%20canning,%20but%20we%20opted%20to%20freeze%20the%20jam,%20and%20DRINK%20the%20syrup%20(it%20was%20excellent%20with%20some%20club%20soda%20and%20a%20little%20tequila).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENOTES:%20We%20quadrupled%20the%20recipe%20for%20the%20jam%20and%20doubled%20the%20recipe%20for%20the%20syrup%20so%20that%20we%20would%20have%20plenty,%20and%20use%20as%20much%20of%20the%20rhubarb%20as%20we%20could.%20The%20taste%20combination%20of%20rhubarb%20and%20ginger%20is%20absolutely%20phenomenal.%20The%20jam%20was%20like%20eating%20ambrosia%20and%20I%E2%80%99ll%20be%20hoarding%20my%20share%20and%20rationing%20it%20out%20over%20the%20winter.%20The%20syrup?%20Yeah%20well,%20the%20syrup%20didn%E2%80%99t%20last%20long%20in%20my%20fridge%20at%20all.....it%20is%20summer,%20you%20know....and%20you%20really%20should%20hydrate%20regularly.....%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
