Receta Roasted Fall Vegetables; hold from hell
by Katie Zeller

I found normal size sweet potatoes the other day.

Usually they’re about the size of a cantaloupe. When I buy one I have to have plans for it for several meals.

These were small enough I could just slice rounds.

As long as I was roasting…..

Simple is often best.

Roasted Fall Vegetables

Total time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

Instructions:

put oil, soy sauce, vinegar, herbes, paprika in a large bowl and whisk well.

Add vegetables and stir well to coat.

Spread vegetables on baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, 400F (200C).

Turn once, bake for 15 minutes longer.

Remove and serve.

I had a small, irritating problem with my site the other day.

Yahoo hijacked my favicon.

I assume you are online reading this. Look up at the tab on your browser. There should be a small ‘TFC‘ (Thyme for Cooking) in the left corner. That’s a favicon. My favicon – which worked just fine for 6 years.

One day it didn’t. I had done nothing to it. (Why would I – it worked.)

Yahoo changed it to a big white Y on a purple background…. The Yahoo favicon.

I tried for 4 days to change it back. I won’t bore you with details, but I really, really tried.

I failed.

I had to call for help…. Which really pissed me off because I had done nothing to create the problem,

I digress…..

The first time I called was morning my time and I was informed that the ‘wait for assistance’ would be less than 5 minutes.

It was, we talked, we did stuff to the code and I was assured it was fixed.

It wasn’t.

The second time I called it was morning US time and I was informed that the ‘wait for assistance’ would be greater than 30 minutes.

Yay Skype.

I decided that the music was composed specifically to make people willing to forgo getting help at all just so they could hang up and not hear it any longer.

Very sneaky: Hold music so awful no one is willing to hold.

I was.

Yay Skype again.

I got the problem fixed.

They caused the problem.I had to fix it.

They didn’t even say they were sorry.
