Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 lbs. flank steak, sliced thin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (#2) can tomatoes or possibly 2 1/2 c. minced fresh tomatoes
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1 med. head cabbage
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar or possibly lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 quarts. water
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 clove garlic
  • 2 tbsp. sugar

Direcciones

  1. Place meat and water in 5-qt soup kettle. Add in salt, pepper, tomatoes, garlic and onion. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hrs. Shred cabbage and add in sugar, vinegar and a little more salt. Simmer gently another 1 1/2 hrs. I like to add in extra pepper! Serves 4 to 6.
