Ingredientes

  • 2 med Onions
  • 1 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Paprika
  •     Up to 1-1/2 Tbsp.
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 3 dsh Pepper
  • 1/2 c. Water

Direcciones

  1. Slice onion thinly into rings about 1/4" thick or possibly less. Separate rings.
  2. Heat oil. Gently toss in onions until all are coated with oil. Stir in spices. Cover and braise slowly over very low heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Braise about 10 mins, being sure onions do not brown. Add in water, if needed.
  4. Braise an additional 10 mins.
  5. Onions can be made hrs in advance, but if they are to be held more than an hour, additional water may have to be added.
