I know in other cultures there are dishes something similar to this where its purpose is to feed more due to budget constraint, like congee from Chinese, Goettafrom the German – American cuisine and Polenta from the Italians to name some. How about you do you have recipes similar to this?
Sardines with Misua
1 small can sardines in tomato sauce 50 grams misua (flour vermicelli) 1 bunch vegetable greens, trimmed and chopped 2 cups water 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 small onion, finely chopped fish sauce freshly ground black pepper oil
In a pot add oil then sauté garlic and onion. Add sardines and water, bring it to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Add the misua and vegetable greens, simmer for 3 minutes. Season with fish…
