%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20you%20don't%20have%20a%20solid%20recipe%20to%20work%20from,%20you%20start%20to%20compare%20and%20contrast.%20Thank%20Goodness%20for%20Mike%20Lynch%20(Hi,%20Jeanette,%20giving%20you%20a%20shout-out)%20he%20minced%20no%20words%20with%20me.%20He%20was%20not%20afraid%20to%20tell%20me%20it%20was%20crap.%20I%20did%20hear%20that%20a%20lot%20in%20the%20beginning.%20But%20I%20toyed%20with%20the%20liquid%20and%20the%20sugar%20and%20eventually%20I%20got%20the%20right%20chemistry.%20Now%20I%20just%20need,%20not%20to%20try%20and%20one%20up%20myself.%20I%20hear%20my%20Dad,%20%22If%20it%20is%20not%20broke,%20don't%20fix%20it%22.%20Easier%20said%20than%20done.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Best%20Apple%20Spice%20Donuts,%20as%20long%20as%20I%20don't%20try%20to%20outdo%20myself!%20and%20I%20hear%20about%20it!!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20dry%20bowl%20whisk%20all%20the%20dry%20ingredients%20together%20and%20set%20aside.%20There%20is%20not%20need%20to%20sift,%20because%20a%20whisk%20will%20achieve%20the%20same%20affect.%20In%20a%20fairly%20decent%20mixer,%20add%20the%20eggs,%20sugar%20and%20vanilla%20and%20whip%20until%20light%20and%20frothy.%20To%20the%20mixer%20add%20the%20melted%20butter%20and%20mix%20until%20well%20incorporated.%20Next%20add%20the%20applesauce,%20it%20will%20suddenly%20get%20runny%20it%20is%20OK,%20it%20is%20the%20applesauce.%20Next%20add%20the%20flour%20and%20buttermilk%20alternately%20until%20all%20is%20incorporated.%20If%20it%20is%20a%20tight%20dough%20add%20a%201/4%20cup%20at%20a%20time%20buttermilk,%20and%20if%20too%20runny%201/4%20flour.%20It%20really%20depends%20on%20the%20time%20of%20year,%20and%20the%20humidity.%20The%20dough%20should%20be%20slightly%20tacky.%20Heat%20your%20oil,%20it%20should%20hover%20around%20375F%20to%20350F%20and%20fry%20donuts,%20when%20the%20edges%20are%20brown%20flip%20and%20fry%20an%20additional%203%20to%207%20minutes%20depending%20how%20much%20your%20oil%20temperature%20has%20dropped.%20Drain%20and%20dredge%20in%20cinnamon%20sugar.%20I%20like%20to%20drain%20the%20donuts%20in%20a%20cardboard%20box,%20it%20soaks%20up%20all%20the%20oil.%20Any%20questions?%20please%20refer%20to%20my%20e~mail%20:%20eyecancookit@gmail.com%20%20I%20will%20attempt%20to%20help.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20is%20no%20snooze%20button%20on%20a%20cat%20who%20wants%20breakfast.~%20Author%20Unknown%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
