%20will%20be%20taking%20on%20Tennessee%20in%20what%20he%20calls%20%22Big%20Boy%20Football.%22%20%20It%20looks%20like%20even%20Halloween%20is%20going%20to%20take%20a%20backseat%20to%20the%20game%20tonight%20which%20is%20fine%20with%20me.%20%20I'm%20in%20an%20interesting%20place%20in%20my%20life%20when%20I%20don't%20have%20children%20and%20I've%20had%20enough%20Halloween%20fun%20over%20the%20years%20to%20feel%20no%20regret%20in%20sitting%20this%20one%20out.%20%20Due%20to%20the%20lower%20percentage%20of%20children%20in%20my%20neighborhood,%20we%20are%20going%20to%20be%20hanging%20out%20here%20to%20watch%20the%20game.%20%20I%20picked%20up%20a%20bag%20of%20candy%20just%20in%20case%20some%20trick-or-treaters%20come%20by,%20but%20Rick%20is%20hoping%20that%20we%20don't%20have%20many%20to%20interrupt%20the%20game.%20%20Of%20course,%20that%20would%20mean%20that%20we%20get%20to%20enjoy%20all%20those%20little%20fun-sized%20bags%20of%20M&Ms!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20are%20FINALLY%20going%20to%20be%20making%20the%20pork%20tenderloin%20recipe%20from%20the%20Vera%20Bradley%20cookbook%20that%20I%20picked%20up%20while%20in%20North%20Carolina%20this%20evening%20for%20the%20game.%20%20I%20opted%20not%20to%20marinate%20it%20for%20the%20whole%2024%20hours,%20but%20hopefully,%2010%20hour%20will%20be%20plenty%20of%20time.%20%20I'll%20definitely%20be%20blogging%20about%20it%20tomorrow.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20morning,%20we%20were%20debating%20what%20to%20do%20for%20breakfast.%20I%20was%20trying%20to%20talk%20Rick%20into%20making%20me%20breakfast%20in%20bed,%20but%20unfortunately,%20I%20was%20unsuccessful.%20%20On%20the%20fortunate%20side,%20however,%20I%20was%20too%20tired%20to%20make%20the%20pork%20chops%20that%20he%20brought%20over%20last%20night%20so%20we%20decided%20to%20fry%20them%20up,%20put%20them%20on%20biscuits,%20and%20have%20a%20pork-filled%20day!%20%20Being%20from%20the%20South,%20frying%20is%20a%20part%20of%20life.%20%20I'm%20not%20a%20huge%20fryer,%20but%20over%20the%20past%20year%20or%20so,%20I've%20become%20more%20comfortable%20with%20it.%20%20Pork%20is%20another%20stable%20in%20any%20good%20Southerners%20diet%20(albeit%20a%20bad%20one).%20%20My%20home%20state%20of%20North%20Carolina%20is%20known%20for%20its%20fabulous%20barbecue,%20and%20I%20was%20converted%20to%20the%20vinegar-based%20style%20during%20college.%20%20I'll%20have%20to%20post%20my%20crock%20pot%20%22barbecue%22%20recipe%20here%20at%20some%20point.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20here%20is%20the%20goodness%20(and%20badness%20for%20the%20waist%20line)%20that%20we%20called%20breakfast%20this%20morning.%20%20Rick%20put%20the%20whole%20pork%20chop%20on%20his,%20but%20I%20halved%20mine%20and%20ate%20the%20other%20half%20on%20the%20side%20(pictured%20in%20a%20wee-bit%20blurry%20picture%20below).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESaturday%20Morning%20Pork%20Chop%20Biscuits%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20Frozen%20Grands%20Biscuits%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20375F.%20%20Once%20oven%20is%20preheated,%20place%20biscuits%20on%20a%20ungreased%20baking%20sheet.%20%20Cook%20for%2016-22%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20oil%20(about%201/4%20inch%20deep)%20in%20a%20heavy%20skillet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20bowl,%20whisk%20together%20egg%20and%20milk.%20%20In%20another%20bowl,%20mix%20together%20bread%20crumbs.%20%20Place%20on%20a%20plate%20to%20coat%20pork%20chops.%20%20Place%20flour%20on%20the%20plate%20to%20dredge%20pork%20chops.%20Dredge%20a%20pork%20chop%20in%20the%20flour%20and%20shake%20off%20the%20excess.%20%20Dip%20the%20pork%20chop%20in%20the%20egg-milk%20mixture,%20and%20the%20coat%20with%20bread%20crumbs%20and%20panko.%20%20Repeat%20with%20the%20other%20pork%20chop.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20the%20oil%20is%20heated,%20place%20the%20pork%20chops%20in%20the%20oil.%20%20Cook%20for%20around%204-5%20minutes%20per%20side%20for%20a%20total%20cooking%20time%20of%20around%2010%20minutes.%20Use%20a%20knife%20to%20cut%20the%20chop%20to%20check%20for%20doneness.%20%20Cooking%20time%20will%20vary%20based%20on%20thickness%20of%20the%20pork%20chops.%20%20Place%20the%20pork%20chops%20on%20a%20plate%20covered%20with%20paper%20towels%20to%20drain.%20%20Once%20drained,%20place%20the%20pork%20chop%20in%20the%20biscuit.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERick%20likes%20to%20put%20%20a%20little%20mustard%20on%20his.%20%20Enjoy!!!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
