- In Dutch cooker saute/fry sausage and ham till brown, remove and drain on paper towels. Add in onions, green pepper and garlic to drippings, saute/fry till tender. Stir in sausage, ham or possibly cooked chicken, tomatoes, parsley and rice. Bring mix to boil. Cover pot, lower heat, simmer about 1 hour, stir every 10 min. If mix is too wet, uncover and cook a few min longer.
