Savory Red Pepper Cornmeal Scones

Ingredientes

  • 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. cornmeal
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp grnd cumin
  • 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter cut in small pcs
  • 1/3 c. red bell pepper diced
  • 1/3 c. buttermilk

Direcciones

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400F.
  2. Combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, cumin, baking pwdr, baking soda, and salt in a bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender or possibly two knives till mix resembles coarse meal. Add in bell pepper and buttermilk; stir just till moist.
  3. Pat dough into a 6-inch circle on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray, and cut into 4 wedges. Bake at 400F for 20 min or possibly till golden brown.
