,%20the%20main%20dinner%20of%20course%20with%20the%20turkey%20and%20all%20of%20it's%20side%20dishes%20and%20at%20least%20two%20desserts,%20but%20more%20often%20three%20.%20.%20.%20%20oh%20and%20homemade%20rolls.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20always%20exhausted%20at%20the%20end%20of%20it%20all!!%20%20(and%20I%20wouldn't%20even%20have%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ehad%20the%20benefit%20of%20enjoying%20a%20turkey%20dinner%20myself.%20%20They%20did%20not%20feed%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethe%20staff%20there.)%20%20I%20didn't%20mind%20really%20because%20by%20that%20time%20I%20was%20beyond%20being%20hungry%20anyways.%20%20All%20I%20would%20want%20to%20do%20is%20to%20get%20home%20and%20put%20my%20feet%20up!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESome%20of%20the%20side%20dishes%20would%20change%20from%20one%20year%20to%20the%20next,%20depending%20on%20the%20Mrs'%20whim%20.%20.%20.%20%20but%20there%20were%20several%20things%20that%20were%20always%20the%20same%20.%20.%20.%20%20the%20turkey%20.%20.%20.%20cornbread%20stuffing%20.%20.%20.%20%20and%20this%20sweet%20potato%20soufflee%20that%20she%20liked%20me%20to%20make.%20%20It%20was%20quite%20sweet%20and%20covered%20in%20a%20praline/nut%20topping%20for%20crunch%20and%20then%20marshmallows.%20%20They%20had%20it%20with%20their%20turkey%20alongside%20of%20everything%20else.%20%20%20I%20can't%20say%20it%20was%20really%20my%20cup%20of%20tea,%20but%20they%20loved%20it!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20version%20here%20today%20is%20more%20to%20my%20taste%20.%20.%20.%20it's%20more%20savoury%20and%20uses%20garlic%20and%20grated%20parmesan%20cheese%20which%20you%20mash%20together%20with%20the%20sweet%20potatoes,%20some%20butter%20and%20some%20seasoning.%20%20It's%20quite%20simple%20really.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20do%20like%20to%20add%20a%20crunchy%20topping%20for%20interest%20and%20looks%20.%20.%20.%20after%20all%20it's%20a%20holiday%20dinner%20.%20.%20.%20%20this%20is%20simply%20panko%20bread%20crumbs,%20more%20grated%20Parmesan%20and%20some%20chopped%20pecan%20nuts.%20%20%20I%20think%20it's%20very%20nice%20actually%20and%20the%20Toddster%20likes%20it%20too.%20%20%20He%20was%20not%20keen%20on%20the%20sicky%20sweet%20variety%20either.%20%20IN%20any%20case,%20if%20sicky%20sweet%20is%20not%20your%20cup%20of%20tea%20then%20you%20just%20might%20enjoy%20this!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Savoury%20Sweet%20Potato%20Casserole*%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes%206%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Edelicious%20alternative%20for%20those%20people%20who%20don't%20like%20the%20sickly%20sweet%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Egarlic.%20%20%20Lower%20the%20oven%20temperature%20to%20190*C.375*F/%20gas%20mark%205.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELightly%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ebutter%20a%20shallow%20baking%20dish.%20%20%20Spread%20the%20sweet%20potatoes%20into%20this%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Edish.%20%20Stir%20together%20all%20of%20the%20topping%20ingredients%20and%20sprinkle%20them%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eover%20top%20of%20the%20sweet%20potatoes%20in%20the%20dish.%20%20Bake%20for%20an%20additional%20ten%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eminutes,%20until%20golden%20brown.%20%20%20Serve%20hot.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
