,%20I%20made%20the%20Say%20Cheez%20Pasta%20a%20couple%20of%20days%20later%20and%20was%20similarly%20disappointed.%20%20The%20noodles%20had%20a%20nice,%20springy%20texture%20(they%20contain%20hemp%20seeds),%20but%20the%20sauce%20was%20not%20to%20my%20taste.%20%20Say%20Cheez%20is%20a%20vegan,%20dairy-free%20and%20gluten-free%20pasta%20dinner,%20and%20the%20ersatz%20%22cheez%22%20was%20just%20not%20delicious.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20relayed%20my%20comments%20back%20to%20Namaste%20and%20the%20spokesperson%20offered%20to%20send%20me%20some%20other%20products%20to%20sample.%20%20I%20demurred,%20but%20even%20so,%20another%20Namaste%20package%20arrived%20at%20my%20door%20a%20few%20days%20later%20containing%20a%20bag%20of%20Chocolate%20Cake%20Mix%20and%20Taco%20Pasta%20Mix.%20%20I%20sampled%20a%20bit%20of%20the%20pasta%20seasoning%20mix%20and%20found%20it%20palatable,%20so%20I%20made%20up%20a%20batch,%20throwing%20in%20some%20frozen%20corn%20kernels%20in%20with%20the%20boiling%20pasta,%20and%20then%20adding%20in%20a%2014%20oz.%20can%20of%20diced%20tomatoes%20(drained),%20some%20chopped%20cilantro%20and%20shredded%20Cheddar.%20%20%20So%20far,%20so%20good.%20%20The%20Taco%20Pasta%20was%20gobbled%20up%20for%20dinner%20by%20everyone%20at%20the%20Crispy%20Kitchen.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20it%20was%20on%20to%20baking%20up%20the%20Namaste%20Chocolate%20Cake%20Mix.%20I%20was%20a%20little%20leery%20after%20the%20Blondie%20debacle,%20but%20this%20was%20fantastic%20cake.%20%20Unlike%20some%20other%20gluten%20free%20mixes%20that%20only%20make%20one%20layer,%20this%20cake%20mix%20makes%20two%20regular%20cake%20layers%20and%20it%20was%20truly%20delectable%20and%20moist.%20%20The%20cake%20was%20not%20too%20sweet,%20either,%20which%20is%20how%20I%20like%20my%20sweets.%20%20My%20husband%20is%20not%20particularly%20a%20chocolate%20lover,%20but%20he%20was%20having%20this%20cake%20for%20the%20next%20several%20days%20as%20breakfast%20and%20snack,%20so%20it%20was%20truly%20a%20hit.%20%20I%20frosted%20it%20with%20homemade%20vanilla%20buttercream%20frosting,%20snazzed%20it%20up%20with%20some%20red%20sugar%20sprinkles%20and%20this%20was%20a%20festive%20and%20delicious%20Valentine's%20Day%20dessert%20for%20us.Thanks%20to%20Namaste%20Foods%20for%20sending%20me%20not%20one%20but%20two%20boxes%20of%20samples%20to%20try.%20%20While%20the%20first%20two%20were%20not%20something%20I%20would%20buy,%20the%20second%20two%20items%20were%20tasty%20and%20the%20chocolate%20cake,%20in%20particular,%20is%20one%20that%20I%20will%20seek%20out%20again%20and%20again.%20%20I%20am%20not%20only%20impressed%20by%20the%20flavor%20and%20moistness%20of%20the%20cake,%20but%20the%20Namaste%20products%20are%20a%20bargain%20as%20well.%20%20The%2026%20oz.%20Namaste%20Chocolate%20Cake%20Mix%20makes%20two%20standard%20cake%20layers,%20while%20the%2015%20oz.%20Betty%20Crocker%20Devil's%20Food%20Cake%20Mix%20only%20produces%20one%20layer.%20%20One%20can%20buy%206%20bags%20of%20Namaste%20Chocolate%20Cake%20mix%20now%20on%20Amazon%20for%20$29.99%20(includes%20free%20shipping)%20and%20make%206%20two-layer%20cakes,%20compared%20to%20the%20Betty%20Crocker%20Mix,%20which%20Amazon%20is%20now%20selling%20for%20$21.46%20(plus%20shipping),%20and%20which%20only%20makes%203%20two-layer%20cakes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELocally%20you%20can%20find%20Namaste%20products%20at%20Four%20Seasons%20on%20Phila%20Street%20in%20Saratoga%20Springs%20and%20at%20Pure%20and%20Simple%20on%20Washington%20Street%20in%20Glens%20Falls.%20%20I'm%20impressed%20that%20this%20small%20company%20was%20confident%20enough%20in%20its%20products%20to%20try%20and%20win%20me%20over%20with%20something%20different%20even%20after%20I%20gave%20them%20my%20feedback%20about%20the%20first%20box%20of%20Namaste%20goods.%20%20I'm%20also%20delighted%20that%20they%20make%20their%20products%20in%20a%20dedicated%20gluten-free,%20soy-free,%20corn-free,%20dairy-free,%20and%20nut-free%20facility,%20so%20I%20don't%20have%20to%20worry%20about%20cross-contamination%20issues%20and%20so%20that%20I%20can%20serve%20Namaste%20baked%20goods%20to%20some%20family%20and%20friends%20that%20have%20other%20food%20allergies.%20%20But%20most%20of%20all,%20I'm%20delighted%20that%20I%20can%20make%20a%20darn%20good%20chocolate%20cake,%20all%20two%20layers%20worth,%20for%20my%20family%20as%20an%20occasional%20treat.%20%20Thank%20you%20Namaste!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
