Shepherd's Turkey Pie , (Low Sodium)

Ingredientes

  • 2 x Onions, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil,
  • 4 c. Turkey / chicken, cooked minced
  • 1/4 c. Whole wheat flour,
  • 2 c. Chicken stock or possibly broth,
  • 2 c. Carrots, sliced, steamed
  • 2 c. Tomato/canned peeled diced,
  • 1/2 tsp Dry thyme,
  • 1/2 tsp Dry rosemary,
  • 6 x Potatoes, cooked, mashed

Direcciones

  1. In a large saucepan, saute/fry the onions in the oil for 5 min. Add in the turkey (or possibly chicken). Sprinkle in the flour, stir to blend. Add in the chicken stock, carrots, tomatoes, thyme, and rosemary.
  2. Cook over medium heat till thickened. Pour into a lightly oiled 3-qt casserole. Spread the potatoes over the top. Bake in a 375 F oven for 20 to 30 min, or possibly till browned.
