Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 lb Brussels sprouts
  • 4 Tbsp. Unsalted butter - (1/2 stick)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 2 tsp Water
  •     Juice of 1/2 lime

Direcciones

  1. Soak whole sprouts in a large bowl of cool, salted water to clean. Then trim and throw away ends and any bitter outer leaves. Cut each in half lengthwise, then slice thinly across width.
  2. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute/fry sprouts with salt and pepper till they start to brown. Add in water and cook till barely limp, about 4 min. (The water changes the action from sauteing to steaming.) Stir in lime juice and serve immediately.
  3. This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
