%20or%20eat%20his%20damn%20supper.%20He%20finally%20chose%20to%20eat%20his%20supper,%20and%20I%20think%20he%20even%20liked%20it,%20but%20I'm%20pretty%20sure%20he%20doesn't%20like%20me%20right%20now.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDespite%20my%20son's%20finicky%20taste,%20I%20think%20this%20really%20was%20a%20pretty%20good%20supper.%20The%20original%20recipe%20didn't%20call%20for%20any%20chicken,%20but%20I%20tossed%20some%20in%20anyway.%20Here's%20a%20general%20idea%20of%20how%20I%20made%20it:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECook%20linguine%20in%20boiling%20water%20for%20about%2010-12%20minutes,%20and%20add%20spinach%20during%20the%20last%20minute%20of%20cooking.%20Meanwhile,%20melt%20butter%20in%20a%20saucepan%20and%20whisk%20in%20flour.%20Gradually%20add%20half%20&%20half,%20mixing%20well.%20Add%20nutmeg,%20salt,%20and%20pepper,%20and%20simmer%20over%20medium%20heat%20for%205%20minutes%20until%20slightly%20thickened.%20Remove%20from%20heat%20and%20stir%20in%20parmesan%20cheese.%20Cover%20to%20keep%20warm.%20In%20a%20frying%20pan,%20heat%20a%20bit%20of%20oil%20or%20butter%20and%20add%20garlic.%20Add%20chicken%20and%20cook%20for%20a%20couple%20minutes,%20then%20add%20shrimp%20and%20grape%20tomatoes.%20Cook%20for%20a%20few%20more%20minutes%20until%20shrimp%20is%20cooked%20and%20tomatoes%20begin%20to%20burst.%20Combine%20everything%20together%20and%20serve.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20was%20about%203/4%20c.%20of%20alfredo%20sauce%20leftover,%20but%20if%20I%20had%20cooked%20up%20all%20the%20linguine%20it%20would%20have%20been%20the%20perfect%20amount%20of%20sauce.%20I%20thought%20this%20meal%20turned%20out%20really%20well,%20and%20the%20kids%20seemed%20to%20like%20it%20(William%20just%20objected%20to%20the%20%22green%20stuff%22%20even%20though%20I%20hardly%20gave%20him%20any%20spinach.)%20It%20made%20a%20huge%20batch,%20probably%20enough%20for%206%20adults,%20and%20it%20was%20very%20simple%20to%20make.%20Even%20though%20I%20normally%20hate%20pasta,%20this%20was%20actually%20pretty%20good!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
