Ingredientes

  • 2 tsp bacon drippings
  • 1 lrg egg
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 3/4 c. white cornmeal
  • 1 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt

Direcciones

  1. Coat bottom and sides of a 10-inch cast-iron skillet with drippings. Heat in a 450 degrees oven.
  2. Stir together egg and buttermilk. Add in cornmeal, stirring well. Stir in baking pwdr, soda, and salt. Pour batter into warm skillet.
  3. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 min or possibly till lightly browned.
  4. This recipe yields 6 servings.
