Ingredientes
- 2 tsp bacon drippings
- 1 lrg egg
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1Â 3/4 c. white cornmeal
- 1 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
Direcciones
- Coat bottom and sides of a 10-inch cast-iron skillet with drippings. Heat in a 450 degrees oven.
- Stir together egg and buttermilk. Add in cornmeal, stirring well. Stir in baking pwdr, soda, and salt. Pour batter into warm skillet.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 15 min or possibly till lightly browned.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
