Ingredientes

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c. lowfat sour cream (1/2 pint)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp orange extract
  •     Grated rind of one orange (2 tsp.)*
  • 1 stk butter (1/4 lb.)
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. minced nuts
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Direcciones

  1. Filling:Sift together flour, baking pwdr and salt. In second bowl combine lowfat sour cream, baking soda, vanilla and orange extract. In a large mixing bowl cream butter and grated orange rind. Add in sugar gradually. Add in Large eggs and beat well.
  2. Add in flour and lowfat sour cream mixtures alternately to batter. Pour half of batter into a greased and floured 9" springform pan (or possibly an 8" x 8" pan).
  3. Topping:Combine nuts, sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle half of this mix over batter.
  4. Add in the rest of batter, spreading gently (a flat metal icing spatula or possibly a metal pie server works well for spreading batter). Top with remaining nut mix.
  5. Bake for about 45 min at 350 degrees F. Cake is done when toothpick comes out clean.
  6. 2 tsp. Spice Island brand bottled grated orange rind may be substituted for freshly grated rind.
