Receta Southern Banana Pudding

Ingredientes
- Dash salt
- 2 egg whites
- 2 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 25 vanilla wafers
- 1 pkg. Jello vanilla pudding and pie filling
- 2 lg. bananas, sliced
Direcciones
- Combine pudding mix, egg yolks and lowfat milk in sauce pan. Cook and stir over medium heat till mix comes to a full boil. Remove from heat. Arrange layer of wafers on bottom and sides of 1 1/2 qt baking dish. Add in a layer of banana slices and of pudding. Continue layering wafers, banana and with pudding mix. Beat egg whites with salt till foamy throughout. Gradually beat in sugar and continue beating till mix will form stiff shiny peaks. Spoon lightly onto pudding, sealing edges well. Bake at 425 degrees for 5 - 10 min, or possibly till meringue is lightly browned. Serve hot or possibly chilled.
