Spicy Black Eyed Pea Soup

Ingredientes

  • 5 x Bacon slices, small pcs
  • 2 Tbsp. Jalapenos, finely minced
  • 1 x Garlic Clove, chopped
  • 1 pch Black Pepper, freshly grnd
  • 2 x Beef Bouillon Cubes
  • 3 c. Swiss or possibly Cheddar Chs, grated
  • 1 c. Onion, minced
  • 2 c. Tomatoes, minced
  • 1 pch Salt
  • 3 c. Water
  • 4 can Black-eyed Peas*, liquid removed

Direcciones

  1. Use 15.8 oz cans of black-eyed peas. Saute/fry bacon in large saucepan till lightly browned. Add in onion, jalapenos, tomatoes, garlic, salt and pepper to bacon drippings; saute/fry 5 min. Add in water and bouillon, dissolving the cubes in the mix. Add in peas to bouillon mix. Add in cheese and simmer gently till cheese is melted.
