%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20the%20next%20day%20I%20made%20it,%20we%20loved%20it%20and%20I%20sat%20down%20to%20blog%20it;%20and%20that's%20when%20the%20train%20of%20thought%20once%20again%20jumped%20the%20tracks.%20While%20editing%20the%20photo%20I%20got%20to%20thinking%20what%20a%20pretty%20pastel%20yellow%20it%20was%20and%20how%20it%20really%20looked%20like%20spring%20in%20a%20bowl.%20And%20then%20that%20made%20me%20think%20what%20a%20great%20recipe%20it%20would%20be%20to%20make%20for%20an%20Easter%20dinner%20or%20even%20brunch.%20Or%20maybe%20even%20a%20bridal%20or%20baby%20shower!%20So%20yes,%20one%20little%20recipe%20had%20me%20thinking%20about%20spring,%20Easter,%20and%20bananas%20all%20at%20the%20same%20time!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20like%20Banana%20Cream%20Pie,%20you're%20going%20to%20love%20this!%20It's%20all%20the%20same%20flavors,%20but%20in%20a%20creamy,%20delicious%20salad.%20Plus,%20it's%20a%20great%20one%20for%20a%20crowd%20because%20where%20a%20pie%20might%20feed%20a%20few%20people,%20you%20can%20really%20stretch%20this%20out%20due%20to%20it%20being%20really%20rich%20and%20decadent.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESometimes%20my%20stream%20of%20consciousness%20scares%20even%20me.%20But%20when%20all%20those%20various%20thoughts%20come%20together%20and%20are%20able%20to%20manifest%20themselves%20into%20something%20yummy,%20it's%20okay,%20especially%20for%20you!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhisk%20together%20egg,%20sugar,%20flour,%20salt%20and%20%20vinegar/water%20mixture%20in%20a%20medium%20saucepan.%20Cook%20over%20medium%20heat%20until%20thickened,%20stirring%20constantly.%20(Be%20careful,%20it%20will%20scorch!)%20Once%20thick,%20remove%20from%20heat%20and%20add%20butter.%20Stir%20until%20combined.%20Allow%20mixture%20to%20cool.%20(I%20sped%20this%20up%20by%20putting%20it%20in%20the%20fridge.)%20Once%20cool,%20add%20Cool%20Whip%20and%20bananas.%20Stir%20well.%20Top%20with%20crushed%20vanilla%20wafers%20and%20garnish%20with%20a%20few%20banana%20slices.%20Refrigerate%20leftovers.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
