Ingredientes

  • 1 lb fish roe (sea bass, mackerel, etc.)
  • 1 x garlic clove sliced
  • 2 x green semi-warm chilies sliced thin
  • 3 x kemiri nuts crushed
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp tamarind dissolved in
  • 2 tsp water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 x salam leaf broken several
  •     pcs
  • 2 piece galangal (laos)
  • 1/4 tsp shrimp (sauce) paste
  • 2 sqr banana leaves - (12" by 12" ea)

Direcciones

  1. Mix all the ingredients together. Divide the mix in half. Place one half on one of the leaf squares, roll it up and seal the ends to create a sausage shape. Do the same with the other half.
  2. Steam the pkgs. over warm water in a Chinese-style steamer for thirty min. Unroll the leaf, and serve warm.
  3. This recipe yields 6 servings, with other dishes.
