Receta Steamed Fish Roe (Pepes Telor Ikan)

Ingredientes
- 1 lb fish roe (sea bass, mackerel, etc.)
- 1 x garlic clove sliced
- 2 x green semi-warm chilies sliced thin
- 3 x kemiri nuts crushed
- 1/8 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp tamarind dissolved in
- 2 tsp water
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1Â 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 x salam leaf broken several
- Â Â pcs
- 2 piece galangal (laos)
- 1/4 tsp shrimp (sauce) paste
- 2 sqr banana leaves - (12" by 12" ea)
Direcciones
- Mix all the ingredients together. Divide the mix in half. Place one half on one of the leaf squares, roll it up and seal the ends to create a sausage shape. Do the same with the other half.
- Steam the pkgs. over warm water in a Chinese-style steamer for thirty min. Unroll the leaf, and serve warm.
- This recipe yields 6 servings, with other dishes.
