Ingredientes

  • 1 x Egg white
  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 1 c. Sliced almonds
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter, melted
  • 1 head Bibb lettuce, torn into
  •     Bite-size pcs
  • 1 x Heat leaf lettuce, torn into
  •     Bite-size pcs
  • 1 x 11oz can Mandarin oranges,
  •     Liquid removed
  • 10 x Fresh strawberries, thinly
  •     Sliced
  • 1 x Green onion, minced
  • 3/4 c. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 c. Red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Orange juice
  • 1 tsp Grated orange rind
  • 1/2 tsp Poppy seeds
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper

  1. Beat egg whites (at room temperature) at high speed of an electric mixer till foamy. Gradually add in sugar, 1T at a time, beating till stiff peaks form. Mix in almonds. Pour buter into a 9-inch square baking pan. Spread coated almonds in pan over butter. Bake at 325F for 20-25 min, or possibly till almonds are dry, stirring every 5 min. Set aside to let almonds cold completely. Combine lettuce, oranges, stawberries, and green onion; toss gentlyj. combine extra virgin olive oil and remaining ingredients; beat with a wire whish till blended. Pour over salad, tossing gently.
