Summer Apple and Plum Crisp

Apples are plentiful year round, but plums are definitely a summer fruit. This crisp is really wonderful.

Ingredientes

  • 1 C. Flour
  • 1 C. Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1/4 lb. Butter
  • 2 lbs. Granny Smith Apples (about 6)
  • 1/2 lb. Red Plums (about 3)
  • 1 Tbs. Cornstarch

Direcciones

  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. Combine flour, 1/2 cup of the sugar, salt and 1/3 tsp. nutmeg. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
  3. Peel apples and cut into thin slices. Slice plums. Combine fruit with remaining 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp. of the nutmeg and cornstarch in a 9" baking pan or dish.
  4. Sprinkle crumb topping over the fruit. Bake until top is golden and fruit is tender, 50 to 60 minutes.
  5. Serve warm or cooled.
