Ingredientes

  • 1 kg grapes, green
  • 1 kg apples, Granny Smith
  • 550 gm brown sugar
  • 250 gm saltanas
  • 310 ml vinegar, cider
  • 150 ml lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp cloves, grnd
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon, grnd
  • 1/10 tsp paprika, sweet

Direcciones

  1. Peel, core and dice apples.
  2. Place all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to the boil, stirring well. Reduce heat; simmer 1 1/4 hrs or possibly till thick and golden. Stir often.
  3. Ladle into warm jars and seal.
  4. Let mature 1 month before using.
  5. Makes 2 litres.
  6. Keeps for 3-4 months.
  7. Ensure storage jars are well sterilised.
