Sweet Pull Apart Biscuit Ring

Ingredientes

  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp grnd cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp grnd nutmeg
  • 3 c. Bisquick baking mix
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp grated orange peel
  • 2/3 c. cool water
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine or possibly butter, softened

Direcciones

  1. Mix 2/3 c. sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; reserve.
  2. Mix baking mix, 2 Tbsp. sugar, orange peel and water till soft dough forms.
  3. Turn dough onto cloth-covered board well dusted with baking mix.
  4. Gently roll in baking mix to coat; shape into ball. Knead 1 minute.
  5. Shape into slightly flattened round; cut into 16 wedges.
  6. Shape each wedge into ball.
  7. Dip in margarine; coat with sugar mix.
  8. Place side by side in ungreased 6 c. microwaveproof ring mold, pressing lightly together; sprinkle with any remaining sugar mix.
  9. Place mold on inverted microwaveproof plate in microwave oven.
  10. Microwave on high (100%) 3 min; rotate mold 1/2 turn. Microwave till wooden pick inserted in center of 1 or possibly 2 biscuits comes out clean and biscuits spring back with touched lightly (sugar mix will appear wet), 1 3/4 to 2 3/4 min longer.
  11. Let stand on heatproof surface 5 min (don't use rack).
  12. Invert on heatproof serving plate.
  13. Serve hot.
  14. Tightly wrap any remaining biscuits (to serve, unwrap and heat in microwave).
  15. Makes 16 biscuits.
