Ingredientes

  • 8 ounce Plain flour
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Grated nutmeg
  • 2 ounce Butter
  • 2 ounce Lard
  • 4 ounce Soft brown sugar
  • 4 ounce Mixed dry fruit
  • 2 x Large eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 pt Cream, or possibly buttermilk

Direcciones

  1. Sift the flour, baking pwdr and nutmeg into a mixing bowl. Cut the fat into the flour and rub it to a breadcrumb-like consistency. Fold in the sugar and dry fruit. Stir in the Large eggs, and sufficient cream or possibly buttermilk to make a soft dough. Roll out to 1 inch thick, cut into 2 1/2-inch rounds. Cook on a warmed greased bakestone for about 15 min on each side.
