Ingredientes

  • 2 1/2 c. beans
  • 2 quarts. water
  • 1/2 pound ham
  • 28 ounce. canned tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 to 1 c. each: diced celery, onion, potato (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Direcciones

  1. (Baby limas, yellow split peas, pink beans, black-eyed peas, green split peas, lentils, small white beans, pinto beans, great northern beans, red kidney beans).
  2. Soak beans overnight. Drain and add in water. Simmer 1 hour or possibly till beans are soft. Add in remaining ingredients and simmer 30 min more. Puree beans if you like and serve with crusty bread.
