Ingredientes

  • 2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
  • 4 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2/3 c. lowfat milk

Direcciones

  1. Lightly grease and flour an 8" round layer cake pan. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. In medium bowl, sift flour with baking pwdr, sugar, and salt. With pastry blender, or possibly 2 knives, cut in shortening till mix resembles coarse cornmeal.
  3. Make well in center. Add in egg and lowfat milk; stir quickly just till combined.
  4. Spread in prepared pan; bake 15 min, or possibly till golden brown.
  5. Partially cold, in pan, on wire rack. Serve hot, with any desired fruit filling.
