.%20%20This%20is%20a%20recipe%20I've%20wanted%20to%20try%20for%20a%20loooong%20time.%20%20I%20heard%20about%20it%20from%20a%20friend%20of%20mine%20named%20Jackie.%20%20She%20raved%20about%20it.%20%20She%20said%20it%20was%20probably%20the%20best%20chili%20she's%20ever%20had.%20%20So%20you%20know%20I%20was%20dying%20to%20get%20this%20baby%20cooking%20in%20my%20kitchen.%20%20Well,%20I'm%20so%20glad%20I%20did.%20%20We%20loved,%20loved,%20loved%20it.%20%20I%20adapted%20the%20original%20recipe%20to%20cut%20down%20on%20the%20heat%20(remember,%20my%20family's%20wimpy%20with%20heat)%20and%20it%20was%20still%20pleasantly%20spicy.%20%20I%20also%20switched%20the%20type%20of%20bean%20just%20for%20our%20preference.%20%20I%20was%20thrilled%20with%20how%20quick%20this%20was%20to%20prepare.%20%20It%20had%20that%20old%20fashioned%20chili%20flavor%20that%20I%20associate%20with%20a%20chili%20that%20has%20cooked%20away%20on%20the%20stove%20for%20hours.%20%20I%20was%20also%20really%20happy%20that%20it%20is%20relatively%20low%20in%20fat%20and%20pretty%20darn%20healthy.%20%20The%20corn%20seemed%20to%20give%20this%20a%20bit%20of%20an%20update%20from%20standard%20chili%20that%20was%20nice.%20Although%20skeptical,%20I%20added%20the%20instant%20hot%20chocolate,%20as%20the%20original%20recipe%20called%20for.%20%20It%20seemed%20to%20me%20to%20be%20a%20bit%20of%20an%20odd%20ingredient.%20%20It%20didn't%20add%20a%20mole%20character%20like%20Holy%20Mole%20Chili%20had,%20but%20%20the%20overall%20spicing%20was%20absolutely%20wonderful.%20I'm%20not%20sure%20what%20exactly%20it%20contributed%20but%20I%20wouldn't%20dream%20of%20ever%20leaving%20it%20out.%20%20I%20hope%20you%20give%20this%20chili%20a%20try!%20%20I%20know%20it%20will%20be%20making%20many%20repeat%20performances%20at%20my%20house%20often!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETurkey%20Chili:%20slightly%20adapted%20from%20Smokin'%20Scovilles%20Turkey%20Chili.%20Original%20recipe%20HERE%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Heat%20one%20tablespoon%20olive%20oil%20in%20a%20large%20pan%20over%20medium%20heat%20and%20add%20the%20ground%20turkey%20and%20salt.%20%20Cook%20turkey%20until%20there%20is%20no%20longer%20any%20pink.%20Remove%20turkey%20to%20a%20plate%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20In%20the%20same%20pan,%20heat%20one%20tablespoon%20of%20olive%20oil%20over%20medium%20heat%20and%20add%20onion,%20green%20peppers,%20jalapeno%20and%20garlic.%20%20Cook%20until%20veggies%20are%20very%20soft,%2010-12%20minutes.%20Add%20the%20turkey%20back%20to%20pan%20then%20%20add%20the%20chili%20powder,%20red%20pepper%20flakes,%20paprika,%20cumin,%20oregano,%20pepper,%20hot%20cocoa%20mix%20and%20seasoned%20salt.%20Stir%20in%20Worcestershire%20sauce,%20liquid%20smoke,%20diced%20tomatoes%20with%20green%20chilies,%20tomato%20sauce,%20pinto%20beans%20and%20beer.%20%20Partially%20cover%20the%20pan%20and%20simmer%20gently%20,%20stirring%20occasionally,%20for%20about%20one%20hour.%20%20Check%20seasoning%20(saltaholic%20that%20I%20am,%20I%20wanted%20a%20bit%20more%20salt).%20%20Serve%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
