Receta Thengai Chaadam (Coconut Rice)

Ingredientes
- 2 c. Rice
- 1 tsp Sugar
- Â Â Salt, to taste
- 1 tsp Black mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Black gram dal
- 1 tsp Bengal gram dal
- 4 x Red chiles, broken
- 2 x Green chiles, cleaned & minced
- 2 sprg curry leaves, cleaned & minced
- 1 Tbsp. Cashewnuts, broken
- 2 Tbsp. Black gram dal, (cleaned & soaked for 1/2 hour)
- 1 x Coconut, grated
- 2 Tbsp. Oil
- 2 Tbsp. Ghee
Direcciones
- Cook rice until just done. Spread on a flat dish. Add in salt and sugar, then allow to cold. Heat oil and add in mustard seeds, black gram dal, Bengal gram dal and red chilies. When brown, add in green chilies, curry leaves, cashewnuts, soaked and liquid removed black gram da,l and grated coconut. Fry until coconut is pink in color and pour over rice. Add in ghee and mix well and serve.
