%20%20Pan%20arrived%20last%20week!%20%20This%20dish%20is%20on%20the%20menu%20baby!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20got%20this%20from%20KayoticKitchen.com...and%20she%20stated%20to%20serve%20it%20lukewarm%20or%20cold.%20%20So,%20this%20makes%20a%20great%20to%20dish%20to%20prepare%20in%20advance.%20%20The%20ingredients%20make%20it%20super%20budget%20friendly.%20%20Hoping%20this%20will%20be%20a%20big%20hit%20in%20this%20house!%20%20(if%20nothing%20else,%20it'll%20be%20fun%20to%20cook.)%20%20:D%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOkay,%20this%20is%20NOT%20my%20picture...this%20is%20what%20my%20dish%20was%20supposed%20to%20look%20like....%20(click%20read%20more%20to%20see%20mine....)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20my%20dish.%20%20Okay,%20so%20it's%20not%20that%20bad,%20but%20still,%20I%20was%20picturing%20something%20much%20better.%20%20I%20think%20what%20happened%20was%20the%20bundt%20pan%20I%20used.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecayenne%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStart%20by%20peeling%20and%20finely%20chopping%20the%20carrot.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChop%20the%20bell%20peppers%20and%20onion.%20Try%20and%20keep%20them%20the%20same%20size%20as%20the%20carrots.%20Finely%20slice%20the%20spring%20onions.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere's%20no%20tomato%20sauce,%20but%20its%20nice%20to%20add%20a%20hit%20of%20tomato%20flavor.%20%20Wash%20and%20chop%202%20firm%20tomatoes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%201%20tbsp%20oil%20and%20cook%20the%20vegetables%20-over%20low%20to%20medium%20heat-%20for%20about%205%20minutes.%20Add%20the%20tomatoes%20after%205%20minutes%20and%20season%20with%20pepper%20and%20salt.%20Or%20use%20garlic%20salt.%20%20Finish%20with%201%20tbsp%20dried%20parsley.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETurn%20the%20heat%20off%20and%20set%20the%20veggies%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBoil%20your%20spaghetti%20according%20to%20the%20instructions%20on%20your%20package.%20I%20prefer%20mine%20a%20little%20al%20dente,%20so%20I%20cook%20them%20for%207%20to%208%20minutes.%20Make%20sure%20you%20salt%20the%20water%20(ocean-like)!%20%20Chef%20Anne%20(Food%20Network)%20stated%20its%20an%20absolute%20must!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20note:%20you%20can%20do%20this%20with%20any%20kind%20of%20pasta.%20You%20could%20also%20break%20the%20spaghetti%20up%20in%20little%20pieces.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChop%20up%20the%20cheese.%20%20You%20can%20really%20use%20any%20kind%20of%20cheese.%20%20You%20could%20also%20add%20tiny%20pieces%20of%20flavored%20cream%20cheese,%20a%20splash%20of%20heavy%20cream,%20a%20little%20Roquefort%20or%20any%20other%20type%20of%20cheese.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20used%20Gouda...I%20just%20love%20the%20creamy%20richness%20of%20this%20cheese.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELightly%20oil%20your%20bundt%20pan,%20and%20sprinkle%202%20tbsp%20breadcrumbs%20on%20the%20bottom.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20the%20bundt%20pan%20I%20bought.%20%20I'm%20sending%20it%20back%20to%20Amazon.%20%20It's%20a%20Springform%20pan%20and%20I%20didn't%20like%20it%20at%20all.%20%20I%20leaked%20and%20felt%20flimsy.%20%20I%20think%20this%20is%20why%20my%20%22pie%22%20didn't%20turn%20out%20like%20I'd%20hoped.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBreak%204%20eggs%20over%20a%20bowl.%20Use%20room%20temperature%20eggs.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%201%20tsp%20(1/2%20tsp%20if%20you%20like%20it%20less%20salty)%20lawry%E2%80%99s%20seasoned%20salt,%204%20tbsp%20milk,%20a%20good%20pinch%20of%20cayenne,%201%20tbsp%20parmesan%20and%201%20tsp%20dried%20basil%20(or%20oregano)%20to%20the%20eggs.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhisk%20it%20all%20together!%20Add%20the%20grated%20(or%20chopped)%20cheese%20to%20the%20egg%20mixture.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDrain%20the%20pasta%20and%20rinse%20it%20with%20cold%20water...Now,%20I%20know%20this%20goes%20against%20all%20things%20sacred%20to%20cooking%20pasta%20noodles,%20but%20you%E2%80%99ll%20be%20adding%20the%20eggs,%20and%20if%20the%20pasta%20or%20vegetables%20are%20hot%20%E2%80%A6you%E2%80%99ll%20end%20up%20with%20scrambled%20eggs.%20Not%20what%20you're%20looking%20for%20in%20this%20dish!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESimply%20combine%20the%20pasta%20and%20vegetables.%20Transfer%20them%20to%20the%20bundt%20pan%20and%20make%20sure%20you%20distribute%20the%20vegetables%20evenly.%20So%20don%E2%80%99t%20be%20afraid%20to%20dig%20your%20hands%20in%20there!%20Pour%20the%20egg%20and%20cheese%20mix%20all%20over.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENote%20from%20Kayotic%20Kitchen:%20%22The%20trick%20is%20to%20turn%20on%20the%20oven%20after%20you%E2%80%99ve%20placed%20the%20bundt%20pan%20in%20the%20center%20of%20it.%20Don%E2%80%99t%20preheat%20your%20oven.%20Give%20the%20pie%2030%20minutes%20at%20400F%20(200C).%20Let%20the%20pie%20cool%20off%20in%20the%20oven%20for%20about%2015%20to%2030%20minutes%20before%20taking%20it%20out.%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20what%20it%20looked%20like%20out%20of%20the%20oven.%20%20I%20had%20to%20wrap%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20pan%20with%20foil%20because%20of%20the%20leakage.%20%20I%20lost%20some%20of%20the%20egg%20mixture%20and%20I%20think%20that's%20the%20bit%20that%20should%20have%20browned%20nicely%20on%20the%20bottom.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFlip%20it%20over%20on%20a%20large%20plate%20and%20serve%20-either%20cold%20or%20luke%20warm-%20in%20thick%20slices.%20Really%20nice%20with%20a%20big,%20green%20salad%20on%20the%20side.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E**My%20Note:%20%20aside%20from%20the%20lousy%20look%20of%20the%20dish,%20it%20was%20super%20tasty.%20%20I%20will%20make%20this%20again%20and%20I'm%20ordering%20a%20regular%20ol'%20bundt%20pan%20this%20time.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
