Ingredientes

  • 2 lb Lean, grnd beef
  • 2 med Onions, minced
  • 1 x Green peppers, minced
  • 1 stalk celery, minced
  • 1 x Clove garlic, chopped
  • 2 can (16-ounce) tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 can (15-ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. Water
  • 6 x -(up to)
  • 7 x Pickled Jalapeno peppers, rinsed and minced
  • 1/4 c. Chili pwdr
  • 1 Tbsp. Grnd Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 x Bay leaf
  • 1 can Red kidney beans

  1. These chili recipes are labeled extra warm. From Better Homes and Gardens Warm & SPICY COOKING (1984). It all depends on what kind and how much chile pepper you add in, so you can make any recipe as warm as you like.
  2. Cook grnd beef, onions, green pepper, celery, and garlic in large pan until meat is browned. Don't drain. Stir in undrained tomatoes, and remaining ingredients except kidney beans. Simmer uncovered for 1 1/2 hours., stirring occasionally. Stir in beans and cook another 30 min.
  3. "TNT Chili was judged extra warm by our panel of warm-food enthusiasts. One of the tasters began to sweat after a few bites. All of the panelists agreed which each bite was noticeably hotter, but enjoyed the chili down to the last spoonful."
