Tomato Cheese Pie With Crumb Crust

Ingredientes

  • 1 c. Fresh bread crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine, melted
  • 3 Tbsp. Grated Swiss cheese
  • 2 lrg Hard tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp Granulated sugar
  •     Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Dry basil
  • 2 x Green onions, minced
  • 2 x Large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. 10% cream
  • 1/2 c. Grated Swiss cheese

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Combine crumbs, butter and the 2 Tbsp. cheese. Pat into greased 9" pie plate; bake for 10 min. Remove from oven. Lower oven temperature to 350 F. Spread tomatoes in a layer on pie crust. Sprinkle with sugar, salt, pepper, basil and green onions. Mix Large eggs with cream and the 1/2 c. cheese; pour over tomatoes. Bake for 30 min.
