Ingredientes

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp dry basil, Or possibly
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh basil
  • 28 ounce canned tomatoes, liquid removed
  • 1 Tbsp. onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 x egg
  •     Vegetable oil for frying

Direcciones

  1. Combine flour, baking pwdr, sugar, salt, and basil. Cut the tomatoes into 1/2-inch pcs and place them on a paper towel to drain. Add in them, along with onion, parsley, and Worcestershire sauce, to the flour mix, but don't fold in. In a small bowl, beat the egg and add in it to the flour-tomato mix. Blend lightly with a fork. To an electric skillet, heated to 360 degrees, add in 1/4 inch of oil. Fry till golden on one side, then turn and fry the other side. Keep fritters hot in the oven till serving time while frying the remainder.
