- If turkey is frzn, thaw completely. Rub salt in neck and body cavity.
- STUFFING: Break sausage into small pcs and fry in large skillet over moderate heat about 10 min. Add in onion and celery and cook till tender, about 5 min. Add in apples, bread crumbs, salt and age; continue cooking till bread is browned. Stuff turkey loosely and sew or possibly skewer neck and body cavity.
- Rub skin with fat or possibly oil. Place in oven. Roast at 320 degrees uncovered 4 to 4 1/2 hrs, basting occasionally. Makes 10-12 servings.
