.%20But%20that's%20another%20post%20-%20or%20actually,%20my%20next%20post.%20It's%20'under%20construction'%20as%20I%20speak%20(or%20should%20I%20say..%20type).%20There%20are%20quite%20a%20few%20photo's%20and%20lots%20to%20talk%20about%20&%20show%20my%20blog%20readers!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEach%20Tuesday%20I%20present%20my%20recipe%20of%20the%20week%20on%20air%20at%2096three%20-%20&%20instead%20of%20waiting%20until%20next%20week%20to%20cook%20something%20from%20'The%20Taste%20of%20Melbourne'%20-%20I%20was%20bursting%20to%20share%20as%20soon%20as%20possible!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOne%20of%20the%20dishes%20we%20purchased%20at%20the%20festival%20were%20Turkish%20Delight%20doughnuts...%20&%20I'm%20pleased%20to%20say%20I%20was%20able%20to%20reproduce%20them%20(albeit%20not%20as%20golf-ball%20%22round%22%20as%20the%20one's%20we%20ate%20in%20Melbourne)%20-%20but%20tasty%20nevertheless!%20And%20they're%20really%20quicker%20and%20easier%20to%20make%20than%20you%20might%20think!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETurkish%20Delight%20Doughnuts%20with%20Rosewater%20Honey%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-350g%20plain%20flour%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-2%20teaspoons%20of%20sugar%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-pinch%20of%20salt%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-25g%20fresh%20yeast%20(available%20at%20some%20fresh%20food%20deli's%20-%20I%20haven't%20tried%20this%20with%20dried%20yeast,%20but%20you%20can%20try%20substituting,%20by%20following%20the%20instructions%20on%20the%20box%20of%20dried%20yeast)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-300ml%20warm%20water%20(not%20too%20hot%20or%20cool,%20you%20want%20to%20'wake%20up'%20the%20yeast%20&%20not%20kill%20it)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Vegetable%20oil%20for%20deep%20frying%20(I%20used%20two%20litres%20in%20a%20saucepan%20-%20heated%20to%20180%20degree's%20celcius..%20or%20put%20the%20skinny%20end%20of%20a%20wooden%20spoon%20into%20the%20oil..%20if%20the%20oil%20sizzles%20around%20it..%20it's%20ready%20for%20frying.%20If%20you%20have%20a%20deep%20fryer%20with%20a%20modern%20digital%20temperature%20guage%20all%20the%20better!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-2cm%20diced%20pieces%20of%20rosewater%20(pink)%20Turkish%20delight%20pieces%20(About%2012%20to%2015,%20usually%20one%20large%20cube%20of%20Turkish%20delight%20cut%20in%20half%20and%20half%20again%20will%20do%20(ie.%20quartered)...%20but%20not%20the%20choc-coated%20variety..%20buy%20the%20icing%20sugar-coated%20variety)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-50gm's%20pinenuts%20(toasted%20-%20I%20burnt%20my%20first%20batch%20-%20pinenuts%20have%20a%20high%20oil%20content%20and%20will%20burn%20quickly%20if%20you%20aren't%20careful.%20Toss%20them%20in%20a%20dry%20hot%20pan..%20or%20roast%20on%20a%20tray%20in%20an%20oven%20until%20just%20golden%20..%20not%20brown)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Put%20warm%20water%20in%20a%20bowl,%20add%20yeast%20and%20sugar%20and%20stir%20well%20with%20a%20fork.%20If%20you're%20using%20fresh%20yeast,%20the%20yeast%20will%20dissolve%20completely%20&%20doesn't%20need%20to%20rest%20before%20moving%20onto%20the%20next%20step.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Fold%20through%20flour,%20add%20salt,%20mix%20until%20a%20sticky%20dough%20forms%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Cover%20bowl%20with%20cling%20wrap%20and%20some%20towels%20or%20light%20blankets%20and%20put%20in%20warm%20place%20for%2030mins.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-15min's%20before%20dough%20is%20ready,%20start%20heating%20your%20oil%20on%20a%20low%20heat%20&%20chop%20Turkish%20delight%20pieces%20into%202cm%20cubes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-After%20dough%20has%20rested%20and%20risen%20for%2030min's,%20rub%20some%20oil%20onto%20the%20palm%20of%20your%20hands%20and%20wrap%20some%20dough%20around%20a%20piece%20of%20Turkish%20delight%20(with%20your%20hands..%20it%20will%20feel%20sticky).%20Work%20quickly%20trying%20to%20make%20a%20golfball%20shape%20(but%20slightly%20larger)%20and%20drop%20balls%20into%20hot%20oil%20..%203%20or%204%20at%20a%20time.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Doughnuts%20should%20quickly%20float%20to%20the%20top.%20Turn%20with%20tongs%20or%20a%20wooden%20spoon%20as%20they%20fry..%20and%20remove%20&%20drain%20on%20kitchen%20paper%20towels%20when%20golden.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-In%20a%20separate%20small%20saucepan,%20heat%20honey%20with%20vanilla%20and%20rosewater%20(don't%20boil).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Crush%20toasted%20pinenuts%20with%20a%20rolling%20pin%20or%20with%20a%20mortar%20pestle%20(set%20aside)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Serve%20doughnuts%20with%20a%20drizzling%20of%20rosewater%20honey%20(use%20a%20tablespoon)%20and%20sprinkle%20over%20toasted%20pinenut%20rubble.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGetting%20ready%20to%20put%20the%20'dough'%20to%20bed%20for%2030min's%20in%20a%20warm%20place...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECovered!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20Turkish%20Delight%20had%20almonds%20flecks%20(hubby%20bought%20them),%20preferably%20use%20one's%20without%20nuts..%20I%20picked%20out%20the%20large%20bits%20of%20nuts.%20Nuts%20(being%20high%20in%20oil%20content)%20can%20pop,%20spit%20or%20even%20explode%20if%20exposed%20to%20fire%20or%20the%20high%20heat%20of%20frying%20oil.%20I've%20heard%20of%20walnut%20shells%20exploding%20when%20thrown%20into%20a%20fire.%20So%20be%20careful!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDeep%20frying%20in%20small%20batches%20of%203%20or
