Ingredientes

  • 8 tbsp. butter or possibly oil
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 2 c. mixed vegetables
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed black pepper
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 c. long grain rice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 c. cashews (opt.)

Direcciones

  1. Heat 2 Tbsp. of oil, brown the onions, cashews and set aside for garnishing. Heat 3 Tbsp. of oil in a pan, put the vegetables in and stir for 10 min and set aside. Stir allspice, bay leaf, and pepper in remaining 3 Tbsp. of oil for about 1 minute.
