Receta Walnut Cookies
Great for a mid-afternoon energy boost

- Preheat the oven to 300 F.
- Grease two baking sheets
- Using an electric mixer, cream the butter until soft
- Add 1/4 cup of the sugar
- Continue to beat until light and fluffy
- Stir in the flour, vanilla extract, and the chopped walnuts
- Drop by teaspoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheets
- Space about 1 inch apart
- Flatten slightly using the back of the spoon
- Bake the cookies for about 25 minutes or until golden
- Transfer to a wire rack set over a baking sheets
- Sprinkle with the remaining sugar
- Allow to cool
