%20as%20well%20as%20a%20ballot%20to%20cast%20their%20vote%20on%20their%20favourite%20chowder.%20Although%20I%20loved%20almost%20every%20single%20chowder%20that%20was%20served%20that%20evening,%20of%20course%20I%20had%20my%20favourites.%20Although%20there%20was%20a%20clear%20winner%20for%20me%20throughout%20most%20of%20the%20competition,%20my%20final%20bowl%20of%20chowder%20turned%20that%20top%20spot%20into%20a%20tie!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20always%20like%20to%20look%20for%20the%20longest%20line%20at%20events%20like%20these%20to%20direct%20me%20towards%20the%20tastiest%20bites.%20It%20came%20as%20no%20surprise%20that%20Chef%20Richard%20Baksh%20of%20Earls%20Kitchen%20&%20Bar%20ended%20up%20winning%20the%20peoples%20choice%20award,%20as%20there%20was%20not%20a%20moment%20all%20night%20that%20they%20didn't%20have%20a%20long,%20winding%20line%20of%20happy%20guests,%20eagerly%20awaiting%20a%20bowl%20of%20their%20Manilla%20Clam%20and%20Seafood%20Chowder.%20Earls%20Manilla%20Clam%20and%20Seafood%20Chowder%20was%20tied%20for%20first%20for%20me%20thanks%20to%20its%20creamy%20texture,%20comforting%20flavour,%20and%20beautiful%20presentation,%20not%20to%20mention%20extra%20points%20for%20their%20fresh%20and%20salty%20bread%20dipper%20garnish.%20It%20was%20only%20when%20I%20finally%20made%20my%20way%20to%20Chef%20Albert%20Ponzo%20of%20Le%20Select%20Bistro's%20station,%20serving%20up%20Chef%20Ponzo's%20Seafood%20Chowder,%20that%20Earl's%20chowder%20had%20to%20share%20the%20limelight%20for%20first.%20It%20was%20the%20complexity%20and%20depth%20of%20flavour%20that%20grabbed%20my%20attention%20with%20Chef%20Ponzo's%20Seafood%20Chowder%20and%20had%20me%20scraping%20my%20souvenir%20bamboo%20spoon%20across%20the%20bottom%20of%20my%20cup%20to%20scoop%20out%20every%20last%20drop!%20The%20celebrity%20panel%20of%20judges%20seemed%20to%20share%20my%20view,%20as%20Chef%20Ponzo%20took%20home%20the%20top%20spot%20of%20the%20evening,%20winning%20the%20title%20of%202012%20Ocean%20Wise%20Chowder%20Chowdown%20Champion!%20Congrats%20Chef%20Ponzo!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECampbell's%20Stocks%20-%20As%20if%20my%20belly%20wasn't%20full%20of%20enough%20soup,%20the%20next%20day%20I%20was%20happy%20to%20find%20a%20delivery%20at%20my%20(new)%20doorstep%20from%20Campbell's%20Canada,%20who%20had%20sent%20me%20their%20new%20line%20of%20stocks.%20%20The%20new%20line%20of%20stocks,%20which%20includes%20chicken,%20beef,%20and,%20most%20interestingly,%20cream%20stock,%20is%20catered%20towards%20the%20confident%20home%20chef%20looking%20to%20create%20delicious%20weeknight%20meals%20for%20friends%20and%20family,%20without%20the%20added%20work%20of%20making%20stock%20or%20b%C3%A9chamel%20from%20scratch.%20Being%20a%20social%20girl%20with%20more%20than%20one%20job,%20I%20can%20easily%20see%20how%20I%20can%20benefit%20from%20having%20these%20stocks%20in%20my%20kitchen,%20as%20I%20often%20feel%20as%20though%20the%20quality%20of%20my%20meals%20are%20being%20sacrificed%20simply%20because%20of%20lack%20of%20time.%20I'm%20looking%20forward%20to%20trying%20out%20Campbell's%20stocks%20and%20recipes%20and%20seeing%20how%20they%20can%20help%20to%20enhance%20my%20basic%20weeknight%20meals!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMott's%20Clamato%20Ready-To-Drink%20458ml%20Cans%20-%20Still%20in%20foodie%20heaven%20from%20the%20previous%20evenings%20Chowder%20Chowdown,%20I%20felt%20downright%20spoiled%20getting%20to%20attend%20the%20Mott's%20Clamato%20launch%20of%20their%20new%20ready-to-drink%20458ml%20cans%20at%20the%20Drake%20the%20very%20next%20day.%20Of%20course%20Mott's%20Clamato's%20official%20Caesar%20Mixing%20Officer%20Clint%20Pattemore%20was%20there%20to%20host%20the%20event,%20serving%20up%20the%20pre-mixed%20cocktail%20to%20guests,%20as%20well%20as%20hosting%20a%20number%20of%20different%20caesar%20making%20demos,%20showcasing%20a%20variety%20of%20ways%20to%20serve%20the%20new%20product.%20I%20was%20able%20to%20grab%20a%20spot%20at%20the%20caesar%20demo%20bar%20for%20a%20tutorial%20on%20how%20to%20make%20Clint's%20Chelada%20(also%20known%20as%20a%20Red%20Eye),%20a%20simple%20take%20on%20the%20classic%20caesar,%20combining%20the%20new%20pre-mixed%20458ml%20cans%20of%20Mott's%20Clamato%20caesar%20with%20beer.%20The%20Chelada%20was%20interesting,%20but%20my%20favourite%20part%20of%20the%20demo%20was%20when%20Clint%20handed%20my%20guest%20and%20I%20a%20plate%20of%20garnishes,%20including%20pickles,%20artichokes,%20spicy%20beans,%20charcuterie,%20and%20more,%20encouraging%20us%20to%20create%20our%20own%20garnishes.%20He%20suggested%20setting%20up%20a%20caesar%20bar%20at%20my%20next%20party%20or%20gathering,%20complete%20with%20the%20new%20pre-mixed%20caesar%20cans,%20and%20an%20assortment%20of%20different%20ingredients%20and%20garnishes%20so%20that%20guests%20can%20each%20make%20their%20own%20unique%20caesar.%20Consider%20pushing%20the%20boundaries%20by%20serving%20up%20different%20fruit%20juices,%20spices,%20and%20brines%20for%20guests%20to%20add,%20as%20well%20as%20creative%20garnishes.%20To%20get%20ins
