,%20with%20some%20homemade%20mayo.%20Homemade%20mayo%20is%20so%20superior%20to%20the%20jar%20stuff.%20You%20can%20see%20how%20pinkish%20mine%20is%20because%20I%20add%20cayenne,%20white%20pepper,%20and%20spicy%20brown%20mustard%20for%20a%20little%20kick,%20so%20it%20definitely%20has%20more%20flavor%20than%20the%20jarred%20stuff.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20had%20a%20handful%20of%20cherries%20before%20going%20to%20the%20gym%20because%20I%20was%20a%20little%20hungry.%20I%20did%20my%20first%20kettle%20bell%20routine%20at%20the%20gym!%20It%20was%20really,%20really%20fun.%20I%20did%2025%20min%20of%20interval%20training%20on%20the%20Lifecycle%20recumbent%20bike%20first%20before%20moving%20onto%20the%20kettle%20bell%20portion.%20I%20used%2015%20lbs%20for%20all%20the%20exercises%20except%20the%20swings,%20where%20I%20used%2020%20lbs.%20I%20used%20a%20youtube%20video%20for%20the%20routine,%20and%20I%20made%20it%20through%201.5%20rounds,%20which%20I%20thought%20was%20pretty%20good%20considering%20it%20was%20my%20first%20try%20and%20I%20had%20done%20all%20that%20cardio%20too.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20really%20hungry%20afterwards,%20but%20not%20for%20carbs,%20just%20food%20in%20general.%20I%20was%20happy%20to%20realize%20I%20didn't%20have%20an%20intense%20carb%20craving%20because%20that%20indicates%20I%20could%20be%20becoming%20or%20already%20am%20fat-adapted,%20which%20is%20something%20Mark%20Sisson%20wrote%20about%20recently%20on%20his%20blog.%20Basically,%20it%20means%20I'm%20burning%20fat%20instead%20of%20glycogen,%20which%20is%20preferred%20because%20fat%20seems%20to%20be%20the%20ultimate%20energy%20store%20in%20the%20body.%20You%20can%20only%20store%20about%20500%20g%20of%20glycogen%20in%20the%20liver,%20but%20even%20if%20you%20are%20at%20an%20athletic%20percentage%20of%20body%20fat,%20you%20still%20may%20have%2020%20lbs%20of%20fat%20to%20burn%20through!%20I%20have%20noticed%20that%20I%20can%20go%206%20or%207%20hours%20during%20the%20day%20without%20feeling%20really%20hungry,%20which%20is%20way%20different%20than%20when%20I%20was%20eating%20a%20low-fat%20vegetarian%20or%20flexetarian%20diet.%20Hunger%20also%20comes%20on%20gradually%20and%20is%20not%20like%20a%20stabbing,%20grinding%20feeling%20in%20my%20stomach.%20Before%20Paleo%20(and%20except%20when%20I%20was%20doing%20South%20Beach)%20I%20would%20literally%20have%20to%20eat%20every%202.5-3%20hours,%20so%20I%20was%20sometimes%20eating%206-7%20times%20a%20day%20(3%20meals,%203-4%20snacks),%20trying%20desperately%20to%20stay%20around%201600%20calories/day,%20and%20wondering%20why%20I%20couldn't%20lose%20weight.%20More%20perplexing%20was%20that%20I%20was%20eating%20many%20servings%20of%20whole%20grains,%20which%20have%20%22heart%20healthy%20fiber%20to%20keep%20you%20fuller%20longer%22...I%20put%20that%20in%20quotes%20because%20I%20can%20practically%20hear%20many%20weight%20loss%20gurus%20and%20cereal%20commercials%20saying%20something%20like%20that!%20All%20the%20while%20I%20was%20trying%20to%20balance%20classwork%20with%20exercise.%20I%20think%20the%20most%20frustrating%20was%20that%20I%20was%20exercising%20on%20top%20of%20calories%20counting,%20but%20not%20losing%20weight.%20Well,%20I%20was%20probably%20burning%20glycogen%20and%20not%20body%20fat!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20I%20said,%20I%20am%20low%20on%20food%20so%20I%20went%20to%20the%20salad%20bar%20at%20the%20grocery%20store%20in%20the%20nick%20of%20time%20and%20made%20a%20salad.%20Actually,%20the%20person%20was%20already%20cleaning%20up%20when%20I%20got%20there,%20so%20I%20quickly%20filled%20my%20container%20with%20some%20of%20the%20things%20that%20were%20already%20on%20the%20trolley%20to%20be%20put%20away!%20I%20got%20some%20fruit%20salad,%20but%20I%20didn't%20eat%20it%20last%20night,%20turkey,%20shredded%20carrots,%20peppers,%20olives,%20cherry%20tomatoes,%20and%20artichokes.%20The%20lettuce%20was%20already%20put%20away,%20so%20I%20just%20got%20a%20bag%20of%20lettuce%20and%20arranged%20my%20salad%20on%20a%20plate%20at%20home.%20The%20olive%20oil%20bottle%20was%20empty%20there,%20so%20I%20used%20my%20own%20extra%20virgin%20olive%20oil%20and%20balsamic%20vinegar%20with%20a%20little%20black%20pepper.%20It%20ended%20up%20being%20a%20really%20good%20salad,%20but%20I%20was%20still%20hungry%20after%20eating%20it,%20so%20I%20also%20had%202%20more%20mini%20burgers%20and%20a%20little%20pile%20of%20leftover%20sweet%20potatoes%20dipped%20in%20a%20little%20mayo%20(this%20plate%20was%20a%20saucer-sized%20plate).%20Finally,%20the%20tank%20was%20full!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
