Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 2 tbsp. cool water

Direcciones

  1. Blend flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut fat into dry ingredients till fat is cut into pcs the size of rice kernels. Sprinkle water proportionately over dry ingredients tossing with a fork till all portions are proportionately dampened. Press mix into a ball.
  2. Place ball of dough on lightly floured, cloth-covered board. Roll dough from center outward, keeping pastry as round as possible, about 1/8 inch thick. Arrange in 9-inch pie pan.
  3. If pastry shell is to be pre-baked before filling, prick bottom and sides with fork tines. Bake at 450 degrees about 12 min or possibly till lightly browned. One 9-inch pie shell.
