%20running%20through%20them%20and%20this%20is%20my%20favourite%20place%20to%20walk.%20%20This%20year%20the%20Wild%20Garlic%20(Ransoms)%20have%20gone%20completely%20berserk%20and%20are%20covering%20the%20roadsides%20as%20well%20as%20the%20side%20of%20this%20little%20waterway.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20even%20had%20a%20late%20flurry%20of%20snow%20this%20weekend%20but%20you%20can%20see%20that%20the%20flowers%20are%20nearly%20ready%20to%20pop%20on%20this%20particular%20wild%20garlic%20plant.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERoughly%20tear%20up%20the%20wild%20garlic%20leaves%20and%20put%20them%20and%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20ingredients%20in%20a%20blender%20and%20whizz%20until%20smooth.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELoosen%20the%20skin%20of%20the%20chicken%20or%20turkey%20breast%20and%20rub%20some%20of%20the%20mixture%20under%20the%20skin,%20directly%20onto%20the%20breast%20meat.%20%20Then%20rub%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20mixture%20over%20the%20whole%20bird.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERoast%20%20breast%20side%20up%20for%2020%20minutes%20at%20180C,%20then%20turn%20over%20and%20roast%20for%20the%20time%20appropriate%20to%20the%20size%20of%20your%20bird%20to%20make%20sure%20it%20is%20cooked%20through.%20%20Test%20by%20piercing%20with%20a%20skewer%20at%20the%20thickest%20part%20and%20the%20juices%20will%20run%20clear%20when%20it%20is%20cooked.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWild%20Garlic%20Omelette%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20very%20simple%20dish%20but%20one%20which%20really%20makes%20the%20flavour%20of%20the%20wild%20garlic%20the%20main%20feature.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3%20free%20range%20eggs%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20tablespoon%20of%20water%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4%20or%205%20Wild%20Garlic%20leaves,%20finely%20shredded%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ea%20knob%20of%20butter%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Esalt%20and%20freshly%20ground%20black%20pepper%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20the%20eggs%20and%20water%20together%20and%20season%20with%20salt%20and%20freshly%20ground%20pepper.%20%20Melt%20the%20butter%20in%20the%20omelette%20pan%20(I%20actually%20keep%20a%20pan%20only%20for%20omelettes%20but%20any%20good%20pan%20will%20do)%20on%20a%20medium%20heat%20until%20it%20starts%20to%20sizzle.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20in%20the%20eggs%20and%20as%20they%20start%20to%20set%20push%20the%20outside%20edges%20towards%20the%20centre%20and%20tip%20the%20pan%20to%20all%20the%20uncooked%20egg%20on%20top%20to%20fill%20the%20gaps,%20do%20this%20for%20about%2030%20seconds%20then%20add%20the%20wild%20garlic%20leaves.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20the%20egg%20is%20almost%20but%20not%20quite%20cooked,%20Fold%20the%20omelette%20over%20onto%20itself%20,%20there%20should%20still%20be%20a%20soft%20oozy%20bit%20in%20the%20middle.%20Serve%20with%20brown%20bread%20and%20butter%20and%20a%20green%20salad.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20hope%20you%20have%20enjoyed%20this%20foray%20into%20the%20world%20of%20foraged%20food%20and%20you%20are%20encouraged%20to%20seek%20out%20some%20wild%20food%20for%20yourself.%20%20Please%20be%20very%20careful%20what%20you%20pick%20and%20where%20you%20pick%20it%20from,%20getting%20someone%20to%20show%20you%20which%20plants%20are%20safe%20is%20the%20best%20way%20to%20learn.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20adding%20these%20recipes%20to%20Cooking%20with%20Herbs,%20the%20Linky%20Party%20run%20by%20Karen%20at%20Lavender%20and%20Lovage%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20also%20entering%20this%20seasonal%20wild%20garlic%20for%20Ren%20Behan's%20Simple%20and%20in%20Season%20which%20is%20being%20hosted%20this%20month%20by%20Helen%20at%20Fuss%20Free%20Flavours%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
