%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20are%20several%20things%20I%20think%20are%20great%20cooked%20in%20the%20electric%20skillet.%20Like%20chicken!%20One%20of%20my%20favorite%20Mom%20meals%20is%20what%20I%20call%20sticky%20chicken%20or%20chicken%20in%20the%20skillet..original%20huh?%20Really%20its%20just%20browned%20chicken%20pieces%20which%20are%20then%20cooked%20at%20a%20lower%20heat%20with%20a%20little%20water%20in%20the%20skillet%20to%20make%20a%20thin%20sauce%20or%20gravy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20week%20I%20took%20that%20concept%20and%20built%20on%20it%20to%20make%20a%20kind%20of%20one%20dish%20chicken%20meal%20all%20cooked%20in%20my%20trusty%20electric%20skillet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChicken,%20Mushrooms%20and%20Onions%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBone%20in%20Chicken%20pieces%20(I%20used%20a%20pack%20that%20had%202%20breasts,%204%20thighs%20and%202%20backs%20-%20which%20was%20a%20total%20shopping%20mistake%20on%20my%20part%20but%20it%20worked%20for%20this)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20Tbls%20chopped%20garlic%20-%20I%20used%20a%20tablespoon%20of%20a%20product%20I%20bought%20at%20a%20craft%20show%20last%20weekend%20called%20Garlicit%20(its%20in%20olive%20oil%20with%20basil%20flavoring%20and%20the%20stuff%20is%20awesome)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20cups%20Chicken%20broth%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20a%20skillet%20or%20electric%20skillet%20to%20med%20high%20and%20brown%20seasoned%20and%20floured%20chicken%20pieces%20on%20both%20sides.%20Add%20onions%20and%20mushrooms.%20Cook%20until%20onions%20are%20beginning%20to%20brown.%20Add%20potatoes%20and%20broth.%20Turn%20heat%20down%20to%20medium.%20Cover%20with%20lid.%20Cook%20until%20potatoes%20are%20tender%20and%20chicken%20is%20no%20longer%20pink%20(probably%20about%2015%20minutes).%20You%20can%20flip%20the%20chicken%20a%20time%20or%20two%20to%20keep%20it%20moist.%20I%20served%20with%20a%20side%20of%20broccoli%20for%20a%20yummy%20full%20meal.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20seems%20like%20winter%20has%20set%20in%20here...they%20are%20talking%20snow%20for%20this%20weekend.%20There%20is%20still%20plenty%20of%20green%20and%20even%20a%20few%20things%20blooming%20in%20the%20yard,%20but%20most%20will%20be%20done%20for%20with%20the%20temps%20predicted.%20So%20how%20about%20a%20flashback%20to%20a%20pretty%20late%20spring%20scene%20from%206%20months%20ago.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIsn't%20the%20cycle%20of%20the%20seasons%20amazing?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20may%20be%206%20months%20ago%20since%20I%20first%20snapped%20these%20shots%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20its%20only%206%20more%20months%20(or%20less)%20until%20I%20see%20them%20again!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere's%20hope!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20have%20a%20flashback%20you'd%20like%20to%20share%20add%20your%20link%20below%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20adding%20my%20link%20to%20Foodie%20Friday%20over%20at%20Designs%20by%20Gollum.%20She's%20got%20a%20nice%20give%20away%20going%20on.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20to%20Fertilizer%20Friday%20at%20Tootsie%20Time.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGo%20check%20em%20out%20:-)%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
